There are less expensive medley's out there but they use lower quality black peppercorns and the ratio of white, green and pink to black is lower. White, green and pink are more expensive. For those that like to add a more complex flavoring to their recipes. Comes in a 10oz bag. $1.15 an ounce. $11.50 COARSE SEA SALT There are many sea salts on the market. This is my favorite. Here is the story on this: Long before the earth knew pollutants of any kind, a huge, ancient sea covered what is now North America. Pure, natural salt was the main ingredient of this sea, and over millions of years, the water in the sea evaporated, leaving the salt in undisturbed deposits. At some point during the earth's Jurassic era, a range of volcanoes erupted around the ancient sea bed, sealing the salt with thick volcanic ash, protecting these precious deposits against the pollution that man would eventually introduce into the environment. This is carefully extracted from deep within the earth, and brought to you in its pure, natural state–without any additives, chemicals, or heat processing. This mine is located in Utah and this salt has over 50 trace minerals and has a softer flavor, slightly sweet taste compared to other salts. I recommend this especially as a finishing salt.
